Java 25, 26 and 27

New Java Versions: 25, 26 and 27

We have added support for three new OpenJDK versions: Java 25, 26 and 27.

You can use them with the following commands: java25, java26, java27

To select a specific version as your default Java environment, set the JAVA_VERSION variable. For example:

export JAVA_VERSION=25

OpenJDK 11 remains the default version unless you explicitly select another one.

Upcoming removal of older versions

We are also planning to remove Java 18, 19, 20 and 22. These versions are no longer supported upstream.

There is no scheduled removal date yet, but we recommend migrating your applications to a supported Java version in advance. We will announce the removal date before making any changes.
